  Just reopened went in the other day and the place is beautiful the new owners have really pushed the boat out decor is pukka gone has all the dark wood it's light and airy the new owners are very friendly and make you welcome i can't say about the food yet as ive not had any yet. I live in the village so I'll be going in more often so I'll keep you all posted. I must say if your a camper come try it.

  Camping is very clean. If the camping near Stonehenge is nominated to have gold for the toilets, then the Strangers earn more than Platinum.
  The food and drinks in the pub tasted well and the pub owner is friendly.

  Food we had was excellent. Really delicious mash and good pie (not home made but nice nonetheless). Staff very friendly as long as you don't touch the indoor pool table (or at least let your kids touch it). Children's play area needs a little TLC but would happily stay there again - provided the noisy bunch of people who filled try he centre of the campsite weren't there. Not sure if the owners told them to shut up but they noisily continued until late then got up early to shout and swear some more. Not the sites fault.

  Luckily it has a new owner who runs it himself personally and has high standards.
  Everything is now clean and bright.They now have only real holiday makers.
  A lovely family campsite in a beautiful village.
  Now the best pub around?

  My family and I slept at this camping place during a road trip that we did on our holidays. We are from Germany. All in all the camping place is made of one lawn that is often filled with some dog dirt. The other disadvantage is the toilet that doesn't smell that nice. At least, there is a small playground but it seems quite old.
